With so much detailed passenger data available at the monthly, daily and hourly level by departure terminal, it is often easy to lose sight of the basic global airport rankings. Today’s Air4casts Chart of the Day is in fact two charts. The first shows the 2018 top 20 airports for total passenger volume. The second shows the top 20 for international passenger volume.
Both data sets compare each airport’s ranking with the ranking it held in 2017 and each data set puts the top 20 firmly in context in terms of their share of the global market as well as highlighting their collective growth rates alongside that of the total market.
